No Time to Die is Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing as James Bond. Ever since the actor stated he’ll no longer return to serve Her Majesty, people wanted to know one thing: who’s going to replace him?
So far, we heard that many want a black Bond. Or they want a female Bond. But, we all overlooked one actor: Charlie Hunnam.
Though nothing is written in stone, and we’ll have to wait for the official announcement, we kind of like the idea of Hunnam playing 007.
Charlie Hunnam would feel honored to serve as the famed agent
You know Charlie as biker gang president Jax Teller on the hit FX series, Sons of Anarchy. The 40-year-old actor from England also stared in The Gentlemen and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
In a recent interview with People, Charlie Hunnam was asked if he would be interested in playing James Bond in the future. He replied that he is “100 percent” ready to do so.
The Brit added he would be flattered and honored to be considered to play the MI6 spy as an Englishman. Yet, he says that there are many actors ahead of him.
He ended that part of the conversation:
My intuition tells me that I shouldn’t be waiting for that phone call to come.
Hunnam added that he appreciate that his fans are so supportive and want to see him in this particular role. According to the actor, he only heard that Tom Hardy has a fair chance to be the next James Bond.
He stated that he is a big Hardy fan, so he would love to see him as James Bond.
Hunnam is not just good looking, and a great actor. He’s also very humble.
Fans really want to see Hunnam as Bond
It’s a battle of fandoms. Hardy Vs. Elba Vs. Hunnam is an ongoing Twitter war for the next James Bond.
And whoever wins, you know that Twitter will disapprove. All guys look perfect in tuxedos. But they aren’t the only ones.
Henry Cavill would also jump at the opportunity of playing the next James Bond. Add Harry Styles to the mix, and you can see why the producers can’t seem to make a decision.
While fans might think it’s their right to pick the next Bond actor, it is not. They can, however, show their support, and Hunnam has a lot of it.
Some of the tweets stated:
I would actually watch a James Bond film if this were to happen lol.
Ladies already see themselves as Bond gals:
So how do I audition to be his Bond girl ?!?!?!?
Only time will tell, but for now let’s enjoy Craig’s last role as the most famous MI6 agent.
Making of James Bond
He may not be real, but Bond’s definitely one of the most recognized names on the planet.
Bond’s always well dressed, he gets the best looking gals, he’s charming, witty, intelligent… He’s also a bit sexist, and misogynist, but as we said: he’s not real.
So far, the role has been played by Barry Nelson, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan.
The last one is Daniel Craig, and needless to say, all these actors had magnificent careers after they completed their mission to protect the Queen.
No Time to Die is scheduled to be released on April 2, 2021.
Henry Cavill, Idris Elba and Henry Golding are just a few other names that have come up as suggestions to portray the next James Bond. The race is on, and we’re excited!
