Camila Cabello has opened up about her first sexual experience.

Losing your virginity can be a significant moment for many people as they grow more confident and experienced in their sexuality.

This is true for celebrities as well, although many tend to be more private about their own experiences and who they have been intimate with.

However, this is not the case for singer Camila Cabello.

The former Fifth Harmony member recently spoke about her past sexual experiences and how her first relationship at 20 expanded her perspective.

During a recent appearance on The Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, Cabello discussed her relationship from seven years ago.

She revealed that around the age of 20, she had dated Matthew Hussey, a relationship coach, writer, and internet personality.

She described the experience of losing her virginity as beautiful and shared the details on the podcast.

"I had my first relationship at that time. I had actually listened to [Matthew's] podcast before … because he had, like, a dating podcast. And he is married now, so congratulations," she said. "It was late for my first relationship. I was 20.

"That was my first time having sex. First lovemaking was at 20, 21. … It was literally lovemaking. It was beautiful."

Though Camila Cabello and Matthew Hussey only dated for a little over a year between 2018 and 2019, she learned a lot from him. She also commended Hussey for his relationship success post-breakup, as he is now married.

Cabello continued: "He was a really great person. It was like the perfect first relationship. It really expanded my world because he wasn't in my industry too."

"It was like, 'Oh my God, have you ever seen Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and have you ever seen Studio Ghibli films?'"

Hussey has also previously praised Cabello, describing her as 'an incredible human being' in a 2018 interview.

Social media reactions to Cabello's candid account of her first sexual experiences have been mixed. Some users congratulated her for having an enjoyable first experience, while others argued there was no need to share such details.

"I feel like she needs to learn that not everything has to be shared with the public," one user wrote.

"Lmaooo girl we didn't ask; this is a private thing… What do you want us to do??" another added.

However, one user defended the singer, saying: "I feel like you need to grow up. She's a real human and artist, and most people already knew this anyway. She was asked a question on a podcast, and she answered."

Another user praised Cabello, saying: "That's really sweet. Everyone's experience is different, and it's nice to hear she had a positive one."
