There is a universal truth that anyone who has ever gotten married is well aware of. It doesn't pertain to tradition or the relationship; it pertains to the cost.

There's no denying the fact that weddings can be costly, and if you're not careful, expenses can spiral out of control. That's why some individuals must restrict the number of guests they invite to the wedding and reception, but accomplishing this is only sometimes a simple task.

That's exactly what occurred to the bride in this tale, but it wasn't solely due to financial reasons; the pandemic also played a role. They had made all the arrangements for the wedding, including the date and venue, but they needed the conditions necessary to accommodate everyone.

After carefully considering whom to invite, they concluded that they could only have a limited guest list at best. After getting the worst RSVP of all time, she went on Reddit to share her story.

This occurred in 2020, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, no vaccine was available, and people were understandably worried about gathering in large groups.

To clarify, she contacted one of her uncles to inform him that he couldn't attend the wedding. It wasn't meant to be unkind; he is 'kinda sickly' in her words, so he couldn't risk attending due to COVID-19. He understood and accepted the situation without any issues.

Then there was Aunt Edith. While she may appear physically healthy, she seems to have some underlying internal issues or struggles.

After receiving her invitation, Aunt Edith noticed that her longtime boyfriend, Danny, was not included. Instead of simply selecting 'yes' or 'no' on the invitation, she expressed her discontent by writing notes all over it and returning them.

She regarded the exclusion as rude and hurtful, stating that the invitation should not have been sent in the first place. In response, she took matters into her own hands by adding Uncle Danny's name to the RSVP and returning it.

People were understandably upset with the situation, and numerous suggestions were offered regarding how she should handle it. However, these suggestions could have been more kind and favorable towards Aunt Edith.

You can satisfy some individuals on certain occasions, but it's always impossible to please everyone.
