Karalyn Henry married her childhood sweetheart, but the couple is now a "throuple" or a threesome since they live with a bridesmaid as well.

It's a crazy world, but let's not be judgmental before we hear the whole story.

Blame it on the bride

The bride, a 22-year-old from Ohio, explained that she fell for her bridesmaid at the ceremony. Well, not really, it wasn't that dramatic.

She says she realized she was polyamorous when she was a teenager. Despite being engaged to the man she loves, she was missing something. She did tell her now-husband about her concerns.

As Karalyn Henry says, he was rather supportive:

I brought my worries up with my now-husband, and he nonchalantly said, 'Well you can just date a girl on the side'.

She was thrilled, yet confused:

My mind was blown - I didn't even think that was a possibility, to be honest.

It worked for them, honestly:

We gave it a go though, and it just worked so perfectly that it stuck to us.

The bride added:

I don't know if I could go back to being monogamous - polyamory just works so well for us.

When Karalyn met Lana

You guessed it, the bridesmaid or the third part of this couple is Lana. The two met online and the first time they actually met was at the wedding.

Lana's from Northern Ireland but she didn't just fall in love with the bride, but with the groom as well. So, she's going back and forth, for now.

Karalyn explained:

When Lana flew over for our wedding, they both developed crushes on each other and started dating as well.

That turned us into a regular Poly Triad.

Poly Triad means "throuple" or a three-way relationship, in case you're not up to date with polygamy.

Is monogamy overrated?

Karalyn loves it when Lana comes to stay with her and her hubby. They share everything, and the bride sounds ecstatic:

When she comes back, we have plans to go on dates together and separately.

There's no jealousy, apparently:

Seeing both of my partners together, holding hands, cuddling - it's adorable, and I'm just so happy to see them so happy!

Yes, they faced criticism, but despite the Catholic upbringing, the families are supportive:

It took me halfway through my first polyamorous relationship before I felt comfortable telling anybody - but they all received it very well. My mother especially!

She added that her mom just wanted her kid to be happy:

When I came out to her, explained the situation, and she saw how happy I was and how happy I loved both of my partners, she changed her mind.

So there you go. Perhaps you're spending days waiting for that special someone, but the truth is that you need a couple for yourself.
