It wasn't that long ago when we were watching Steve Irwin, a beloved crocodile hunter, going about his business with lots of charm and enthusiasm. Several years later, the man's wife and kids have continued with this amazing legacy of caring for wild animals.
In an especially touching moment, Bindi Irwin, Steve Irwin's daughter, is recreating the special pregnancy moment between her parents with her very own baby bump, and it's adorable.
Bindi posted the pictures on social media. She did a pretty good job of recreating the special moment.
The throwback moment features her mom, Terri Irwin, with Steve Irwin kissing Bindi's baby brother's bump.
The recreation Bindi has created is not a complete mirror image of the photo her mom and dad did, but it comes pretty close. In the picture, her husband, Chandler Powell, can be seen kissing her big baby bump while looking at the camera.
The caption accompanying the picture was just as touching as the moment itself: "Recreating a very special moment. Third-trimester love."
The mom-to-be announced her pregnancy to the world and went on to share moments of herself before she became a parent.
The Big Announcement
She started off by announcing the pregnancy in a very unique way by posting a picture of her and her husband Chandler holding a baby-sized Australian Zoo uniform.
The photo was captioned "Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021." And went on to add:
"Chandler and I are proud to announce that we're expecting! It's an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you."
Bindi went on to say:
"Though I'm still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn't wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us."
She went on to urge fans to send their best advice and good vibes and prayers to their little bundle of joy.
Once her mom Terri saw the announcement on social media, she congratulated the happy couple and mentioned that Steve Irwin would have been thrilled to hear the news.
She was obviously beside herself with joy:
"This is the best day ever! I am over the moon to announce that @BindiIrwin and @chandlerpowell9 are going to have a baby! Words cannot express the love that is filling my heart. While I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud."
This is definitely a very exciting moment for Steve Irwin fans. Without a doubt, the delightful charm he is known for lives on in his daughter.
