Another day, another celebrity shows their true colors. Billie Eilish is caught in a racist scandal, and we do not want to cancel her but hold her accountable.
The Lost Cause star mocks Asian culture

TikTok user lcxvy provided a shocking video where Billie Eilish uses the word "c**nk", an offensive slur referring to a person of Chinese descent.
In a follow-up, she mocks Asian accents, as you can hear her brother and collaborator Finneas calling her out for speaking with a "Black accent."
It is not clear when these videos were filmed, but some commentators say Billie was 14 at the time.
Many fans are sad and disappointed. Some want to cancel Billie, while others were even defending the young musician.
Comments Are Divided
There is no excuse for Billie Eilish's behaviour. As one commentator said:
"I love her so much and I am attached to her, but now I'm disappointed."
Another wants her to address her behaviours:
"It doesn't matter if this is a joke or if she was 14. She needs to address this. We're not sensitive for wanting her to address this."
Yet, some people defended her due to her Tourette's syndrome.
Tourette's Syndrome Does Not Make You Use Racial Slurs

In Instagram stories, back in 2018, Billie revealed that she she had Tourette's:
"I've never mentioned [my Tourette Syndrome] on the internet because nobody thinks I'm deadass. As well as the fact I've just never wanted people to think of Tourettes every time they think of me."
People with Tourette's syndrome might exhibit involuntary physical or verbal tics. Eilish explained that her tics are physical rather than verbal.
She added that she taught herself "ways of suppressing my tics and certain techniques to help [reduce] them when I don't want to be distracting in certain situations."
Her fans quickly pointed out that Billie's Tourette's is responsible for her slurs.
Billie's Boyfriend Is Under Fire

When it rains, it pours.
Prior to the TikTok videos, Billie was accused of Queerbaiting in her latest video.
Her alleged boyfriend, Matthew Vorce, is also in the middle of a scandal.
Someone posted tweets where the 29-year-old actor used racist, homophobic and sexist language. These are yet to be verified.
So far, the actor and his girlfriend are staying quiet.
