While this might sound like storytelling from some movie script, it isn't. It is a Wednesday cheating affair real life story.

In their line of work, bartenders come across various people, not only drunks but also cheats. If they sold every story they have ever experienced at a bar; they could be multimillionaires.

A few months ago, this man started visiting the bar where Cayley works. She noticed that he arrived at the bar every Wednesday and sat for about 10 to 15 minutes before a woman joined him at exactly 4:45 pm.

At that time, the restaurant was mostly empty. Hence, giving her enough time to observe the couple carefully.

She observed their conduct, gestures, and body language and speculated they were having an affair. She says, "Years working as a bartender give you a strong eye for this kind of stuff."

Soon, they became Cayley's regulars. She became accustomed to their regular orders; the man frequently had a margarita with Don Julio.

The bartender had a couple of conversations with the couple and noticed that while they both had wedding bands on, they referred to each other as "friends." They also confirmed to her that they were friends.

Meeting at a specified place at the same time every Wednesday and referring to each other as just friends were enough information to make Cayley conclude that these two were having an affair.

While Cayley viewed extramarital affairs as wholly dishonest, she drew a clear line regarding her profession. Her personal conviction and her professional ethics were two different things.

She thus viewed the escapade as none of her business. "My job is to pour drinks and serve them," she said.

But the couple suddenly stopped coming to the bar. Here's what happened before then:

On one such evening, she noticed that the couple had an argument, and the man left angrily. Cayley took the initiative and walked up to the woman to ask if she wanted another glass of wine. The woman agreed.

The conversation that followed had the woman telling Cayley about her relationship with the man, how they have been friends for years, how she was contemplating divorce at the moment, and how he was assisting her with her finances.

She also talked about how much she loved her extramarital lover but how he hasn't been keen on getting a divorce from his wife. But what shocked Cayley was that she was the reason the couple had a fight.

The man had complimented Cayley, mentioning to his lover that she looked attractive. The woman became envious and made an issue out of it which made the man leave.

Cayley tried to convince her that it was just a random compliment that meant nothing and that she looked very attractive too. Well, that wasn't coming from the place that mattered.

After that incident, they stopped coming to the bar.

After a while, Cayley had to switch her contact lenses to glasses that she found more comfortable. On this particular evening, while working, the glasses were straining her ears, so she took them off for some time while at work.

In the dim light, she couldn't clearly make out the features of her customers but could still serve them well.

Incidentally, the man in question walked into the bar that night with a woman with the same hair color, stature, and posture as his lover.

Cayley concluded the couple had finally returned since they sat at their customary table.

She nodded customarily at the man but noticed that he ignored her. She then walks up to the table and asks if they want their usual drinks saying "I'm glad to see you guys! Haven't seen you for a long time! I believe as always, Margarita & Don Julio and the cab for you?"

To her surprise, he requests a vodka soda for the woman he is with while the woman stares at Cayley in absolute astonishment.

He agreed to having his usual drink while he orders the vodka for the woman who is likely his wife. Cayley left but noticed that the couple engaged in a heated argument.

A while later, her coworker walks up to her and tells her that the woman he came with that day wasn't the usual. Then it dawned on Cayley that that was likely his wife and her bad eyesight might be costing someone their home.
