LAPD is investigating Armie Hammer after a woman named Effie stepped out with accusations of rape.

Effie, whose name is protected, and her lawyer held a press conference. During this, she gave details into a four-year relationship with an actor. Though many saw his downfall, we certainly didn't expect more gruesome details.

Effie's Accusations

Effie met Hammer via Facebook in 2016. The on-off relationship lasted for four years. During the time, he was allegedly abusive sexually, physically, and mentally.

She told the reporters:

"I thought that he was going to kill me."

The woman, now 24, continued:

"On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slapped my head against a wall bruising my face."

"He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent."

She was crying while talking about her experience. Effie tried to get away, but "but he wouldn't let me."

Once he was finished, he left:

"He then left with no concern for my well being. I was completely in shock."

Hammer Denies Allegations

The actor's attorney stated that all of Armie's relationships were:

"...completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory."

But that's clearly not what Effie saw:

"The relationship progressed rapidly, and the emotions from both sides became really intense. Looking back, it is now clear to me he was employing manipulation tactics in order to exert control over me until I started to lose myself. He would often test my devotion to him, slyly removing and crossing my boundaries, as he became increasingly more violent."

"I tried so hard to justify his actions, even to the point of responding to him in a way that did not reflect my true feelings. I have lived in fear of him, and I have tried to dismiss his actions as a twisted kind of love. His abuse traumatized me."

"He abused me mentally, emotionally, and sexually," concluded Effie, adding that she was suicidial during their relationship.

Effie's Instagram account, though not verified, brough many disturbing screenshots over the past two months.

But accusations started flowing around ages ago. Despite being married with children, Armie Hammer's public secret was cheating.

After he decided to leave home in the Caymans and fly to the States during the lockdown, his wife of ten years, Elizabeth Chambers decided that she'd had enough.

On the first day of new year, she filed for the divorce. Hammer tweeted:

"2021 is going to kneel down before me and kiss my feet because this year I'm the boss. 2020 was a cheap shot no one was expecting. Now I know what we are up against and it's time to go to war."

But, in hindsight, that prediction was the opposite of accurate.

Armie And Alleged Cannibalism

Amid the turbulence of divorce, numerous women took to social media to accuse the actor of emotional abuse, manipulation, and finally, violence.

Screenshots of private conversations raised many eyebrows. Two topics stood out: the actor's alleged sexual fantasies involving rape and cannibalism.

It made him step away from two movie projects. While Hammer didn't deny his affairs, with rape and cannibalism allegations, we had to wait and see which woman will go on record first.

Effie shared a photo with Armie from Los Angeles. She added she felt guilty for not speaking up sooner:

"I feel immense guilt for not speaking out sooner because I feel like I may have been able to help others not become victims. I want other survivors of sexual assault around the world to feel empowered."

As per her attorney, they asked the actor to cooperate with the police. But, according to his lawyer's statements, it seems it will be he said, she said:

"Effie's…own correspondence with Mr. Hammer undermines and refutes her outrageous allegations. As recently as July 18, 2020, [she] sent graphic texts to Mr. Hammer telling him what she wanted him to do to her. Mr. Hammer responded making it clear that he did not want to maintain that type of relationship with her. The screenshot…is just one of the hundreds [she] sent to Mr. Hammer."

"It was never Mr. Hammer's intention to embarrass or expose [her] fetishes or kinky sexual desires, but she has now escalated this matter to another level by hiring a civil lawyer to host a public press conference. With the truth on his side, Mr. Hammer welcomes the opportunity to set the record straight."

The Family Issues

Armie's father is a businessman, Michael Armand Hammer, while his grandpa is oil tycoon Armand Hammer. Though Hammer's net worth is around 16 million, his family is much wealthier.

It's also full of scandals and intrigues. Back in 1919, Armie's great-great-grandfather, Dr. Julius Hammer, performed an abortion o the wife of a Russian diplomat. She died a few days later, and the doctor was convicted of first-degree murder.

His son, Armand Hammer, was 22 at the time his father was sent to Sing Sing. He took over the family business, and according to the family's biographer, made a pact with Russia.

Vladimir Lenin sent a note to Joseph Stalin encouraging "particular support" for Armand, who fell in love with a Russian singer Olga. They had a son named Julian, who's Armie's grandfather.

During the 50s, Armand was already on his second divorce. The wife, Angela, told the court that, due to his time in Russia and his medical training, "it causes him no pain to see the sufferings of others."

His third wife was wealthy, and they invested in Occidental Petroleum. That's how the family of doctors became a household name.

Armand tried to distance himself from the Soviet Union and became friends with the US politicians and European royalty.

In the morning after Julian's 26th birthday, in 1955, he killed a man inside his Los Angeles home over a gambling debt. It was just another in the sea of scandals that allegedly include money laundering, briberies, and of course, sexual assaults.

Casey Hammer, Armie's aunt, claims that Julian sexually assaulted her when she was a child. She wrote a book about her upbringing that doesn't hide that family is nothing short of scandalous: Surviving My Birthright.

The ongoing inner battle for family money, sex, drugs, alcohol, political power, murders, was all part of Armie Hammer's heritage. Yet, for most of us, he was simply an actor.

Along Came January 2021

The soon-to-be ex-wife and mother of Armie's two children told her friends that "the only thing that makes sense to her, looking back on her marriage, is the Netflix movie starring Zac Efron as Ted Bundy—Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile."

One woman accused him of carving the letter "A" near her vagina while suggesting he should remove her ribs and eat them.

Hammer's Instagram direct messages described his fantasies. Some were nothing more than fetishes. Others included violence, cannibalism, rape.

Today, LAPD confirmed that Hammer is under investigation. According to what we saw in the past few months, Effie's not alone in these allegations. This story will have a lot of twists and turns, and none of them will be pretty.
