Apparent Human Remains Found After Brian Laundrie's Possessions Located In Florida Nature Reserve

Human remains and Brian Laundrie's possessions were found in Carlton Reserve. This area was under water until recently.

Authorities cannot yet confirm whether the remains are connected to Laundrie. However, the authorities confirmed that partial human remains had been found in Florida's Carlton Reserve.

Near the remains was a backpack with a notebook, consistent with the type of items Laundrie may have had in his possession.

Brian Laundrie is the sole person of interest in the death of Gabby Petito, his fiance. He has been missing for over a month, and the news about partial remains came from Laundrie's family lawyer, Steven Bertolino.

He stated:

Chris and Roberta Laundrie went to the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park this morning to search for Brian."

"The FBI and NPPD were informed last night of Brian's parents' intentions and they met Chris and Roberta there this morning. After a brief search off a trail that Brian frequented some articles belonging to Brian were found. As of now, law enforcement is conducting a more thorough investigation of that area."

Pasco County Sheriff's Office said that a medical examiner and a K9 unit are on the scene.

The entrance to Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park is only five miles north of the Laundrie family home.

Brian Laundrie came home on September 1 without Gabby Petito. She was reported missing 11 days later, and her body was found on 19.

The couple was on a road trip, but Gabby never returned. Brian has been on the run since September 14.

Last weekend, her family said goodbye to Gabby. Laundrie is not a suspect, but there is an arrest warrant for his arrest for abuse of credit cards.

This is a developing story, and we will keep it up to date in a timely manner.
