Anna Delvey Won't Watch Netflix Series Inventing Anna: "It Doesn't Sound Appealing"

Anna Delvey, 31, shared her feelings about the upcoming Netflix series, Inventing Anna.

Between 2013 and 2017, Anna Delvey played a German heiress and conned people unusually and mysteriously. Her conning skills were extraordinary, and as such, Anna was already a subject of several docu-series.

Delvey wrote an essay for Insider saying that she does not care about the upcoming show.

"While the world is pondering Julia Garner's take on my accent in Inventing Anna … the real me sits in a cell in Orange County Jail in upstate New York, in quarantine isolation."

Delvey, real name Anna Sorokin, served two years in prison after being convicted on four counts of theft services, three counts of grand larceny, and one count of attempted grand robbery in April 2019. Two years later, in 2021, she was again arrested.

Sorokin was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for overstaying her visa and has remained in its custody since waiting to be deported to Germany. The law enforcement argued that her Instagram posts showed a lack of remorse for her crimes.

"It doesn't look like I'll be watching Inventing Anna anytime soon."

"Even if I were to pull some strings and make it happen, nothing about seeing a fictionalized version of myself in this criminal-insane-asylum setting sounds appealing to me."

In her Insider essay, she wrote about her Covid-19 battle, jail, and the media.

The series Inventing Anna has nine episodes, and it will be on Netflix on February 11, 2022.
