Well, there's a funny story about a young man who felt the same way. He agreed to spend the night with a woman for $500 but ended up dissatisfied. So, he decided to take action.

Sometimes, things don't go as planned, and we can be in for a surprise when we try to fix a situation. This man in the joke certainly learned that when he got a response to his letter.

A young man met a lovely girl and agreed to spend the night with her for $500. So they did. But before he left, he said he didn't have cash, so he'd have his secretary send a check, calling it "RENT FOR APARTMENT."

On his way to work, he thought it over and felt it wasn't worth the price. So, he had his secretary send a check for $250 and included this note:

"Dear Madam,

I'm sending a check for $250 for apartment rent, not the full amount because when I rented it, I thought:

- It was brand new.
- It had good heating.
- It was cozy and small.

But last night, I found out it wasn't new, there was no heat, and it was too big."

The girl got the note and sent back the $250 check with this response:

"Dear Sir, first, it's unrealistic to expect a beautiful apartment to always stay empty.

As for the heat, it works if you know how to use it.

Regarding the size, the apartment is regular, and if you don't have enough furniture, it's not my fault!

Please send the full $500, or I'll have to contact your current landlady!"
