There is rarely any hostile drama on the Food Network, but once in a while, tempers get pretty hot and the often cheerful and lovable cooking wizards end up in confrontations.
In some cases, the stars even insult each other and almost come to blows. Here are some famous feuds that have happened between Food Network stars.
1. Bobby Flay vs Giada De Laurentiis
Today, Bobby and Giada are the best of friends. However, this has not always been the case.
After competing on Iron Chef in 2006 against Rachel Ray and Mario Batali, the two could not talk to each other for eight months because, according to Giada, Bobby didn't think it was a big deal when the duo lost.

"He didn't think it was any big deal that we lost. I did not talk to him for eight months! I did not. Nothing. Silence."
"I thought, you knew, I took this very seriously. It was a very big show, especially at that time, and I've cooked, I've gone to culinary school, I worked on my own dish all by myself and I felt like he sort of half-assed it."

Although the two are now great friends, eight months of silence is still a long time to hold a grudge.
2. Rachel Ray vs Emeril Lagasse

Rachel is popular for making incredible 30-minute meals, and Emeril is an expert at trash talk. As Rachel was joining the network, Emeril had these unsavory words about her:
"[She] doesn't know anything about food. I would not put her on."

She couldn't have been happy about that, obviously. However, Emeril regularly appears as a co-host on The Rachel Ray Show.
Clearly, they buried the hatchet.
3. Martha Stewart vs Ina Garten

Martha is no fan of competition, and she was against the idea to have Ina Garten's show, The Barefoot Contessa, on Martha Stewart Living.
She wanted to be the only woman on the network.

Stewart told her team that she wanted tapes of the entire series destroyed.
Fortunately, Ina did okay after her show got on the Food Network.
4. Martha Stewart vs Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow is not exactly a Food Network wiz, but she runs a show, Goop, which is very similar to Martha's.
Martha did not like it one bit and told her she needs to be quiet because she is a movie star. According to Martha, if she was confident about her acting skills, she would not be "trying to be Martha Stewart."

The real question is: why would Martha Stewart feel that uncomfortable with this if she was so confident of her skills?
5. Martha Stewart vs Rachel Ray

I think we are starting to see a pattern here. In yet another food feud, Martha decided to attack Rachel and her new cookbook.
Here is what Martha had to say about Rachel Ray:
"She just did a new cookbook which is just a re-edit of a lot of her old recipes. And that's not good enough for me."

She even called Rachel an entertainer and not a chef.
Martha later apologized after Rachel said Martha's skill was far beyond her own.
6. Martha Stewart vs Eric Ober

Food Network president, Eric Ober asked for episodes of Martha Stewart Living and in exchange, they would pay her millions of dollars.
When she came to sign the contract, she did not look at anyone or shake hands. She signed the papers and left, and Eric Ober was justifiably offended by the gesture:
"The only other thing I want in this agreement is I don't want to have to see that woman again for the life of this contract."
7. Sandra Lee And Her Kwanzaa Cake

To be honest, this is a scandal and not just a feud.
One of Sandra's most notable critics was Anthony Bourdain, who faulted her for trying to imply that good food can be made easily in just a matter of minutes.
However, she offended a lot of people when making a Kwanzaa cake. She bought angel food cake, apple pie filling, vanilla frosting, popcorn, corn nuts, and pumpkin seeds.

Not even her assistant could hold back the disgust:
"I feel bad as a professional cook that I was involved in that abortion."
8. Guy Fieri vs Anthony Bourdain

Guy is an eccentric and outrageous fella, and Bourdain was not totally okay with that.
When he opened American Kitchen & Bar in Manhattan, Bourdain said he had turned the neighborhood into the Ed Hardy district.
When he came to learn of the comment, he said he did not like that Bourdain made fun of people and talked "sh*t."

Later, the two buried the hatchet, with Bourdain admitting that Guy was a "low-hanging fruit."
9. Anthony Bourdain vs Paula Deen

Bourdain was not one to mince words, and he clearly did not like Paula Deen or her methods.
He called her "the most dangerous person to America" and also claimed that "she's proud of the fact that her food is f***ing bad for you. Plus, her food sucks."

Later, she was found to have type 2 diabetes, and she was criticized for hiding her diagnosis and continuing to promote her unhealthy food recipes.
When a fan asked Bourdain why he criticized Paula although he smoked cigarettes on his show, he said: "But I wasn't selling you mother****** cigarettes."

He was not okay with the fact that Paula was selling a hamburger in between a doughnut as her signature dish while suffering from Type 2 diabetes. To him, this was in bad taste.

However, Paula did not take this sitting down, she got back at him in words few people couldn't easily forget:
"I don't think he has the ability to make or break my career. Especially when he's going around eating unwashed anuses of wildebeests."
Even though these cooking stars bring us fantastic shows that keep us glued to our television screens for hours, they clearly have a lot of things going on behind the scenes.
