1. Project Power

If there was a pill that could give you five minutes of pure power, would you take it?
Well, the new upcoming Netflix movie starring Jamie Foxx explores this idea. An ex-soldier and a cop team up to uncover the mystery behind a pill that grants temporary superpowers. The action-packed sci-fi movie promises to be a busload of adrenaline, crime, and action. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dominique Fishback, and Courtney B. Vance also star in it.
It is set to be released on the 14th of August, 2020.
2. The Prom

From Ryan Murphy, the director of Glee, American Horror Story, and The Politician, comes a controversial and musically charged movie. The prom tells the story of a teenage girl who is not allowed to take her girlfriend to prom. This prompts a group of self-absorbed theatre nerds to fly over to her town to support her.
Much like the book, and Broadway musical it was adapted from, the movie promises to be a fun-filled, comedic movie with great musical numbers. It stars a lot of A-list actors including Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, Andrew Rannells, James Corden, and Keegan-Michael Key.
3. I'm Thinking of Ending Things

Adapted from the thriller novel of the same name, I'm Thinking of Ending Things follows a young woman who decides to follow her new boyfriend on a road trip to meet his parents on their secluded farm.
All is not a sit seems as she already has misgivings about him and plans to end their relationship. The movie stars Jessie Buckley, Toni Collette, Jesse Plemons, and David Thewlis.
The film is scheduled to be released on the 4th of September, 2020.
4. Dick Johnson Is Dead

A comedic take on the shortness of life and unescapable quality of death.
Famous filmmaker Kristen Johnsen and her elderly father Dick Johnson act out his death in various ways to confront his inevitable demise with humor and poignancy.
Both moving and funny, this film will evoke a sense of pathos in viewers and make them confront the fleeting nature of their own lives.
5. Work It

Starring former Disney star Sabrina Carpenter, Work It centers on an overachieving, awkward 18 year old who tries to form an amazing dance group using the schools' underdogs. In order to get extra credit to get into an Ivy League school, high school senior Quinn takes up dancing.
Despite her gawkiness and lack of balance, she is determined to refine herself and her team so they can compete at a competition. The film also stars Jordan Fisher, Liza Koshy, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Peyton Meyer.
The film is set to come out on the 7th of August, 2020.
6. The Bridge Curse

This dark thriller follows a group of undergraduate college students who decide to investigate an urban legend about the ghost of a fellow student that haunts their campus bridge. The legend goes that anyone who crosses the bridge, where the student took her life at midnight, will be haunted by a terrifying evil.
The film stars Vera Yen, JC Lin, and Summer Meng.
7. Over The Moon

This heartwarming, Netflix musical will leave you glued to your seat and filled with love.
Glen Keane, the animator on The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Aladdin, and Beauty and The Beast, drives this animated musical. A young girl builds a rocket ship and journeys to the moon in search of a mystical Moon goddess.
It's a wonderful movie to sit and watch with your family and friends. Even by yourself, it is sure to bring a smile to your face.
8. The Midnight Sky

George Clooney directs this science fiction film based on the novel, Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks. A scientist – played by George Clooney – races to stop a group of astronauts – led by Felicity Jones – from entering post-apocalyptic earth.
The film stars other big names such as Kyle Chandler and David Oyelowo.
