High school seniors throughout the country are devastated after schools canceled prom due to the pandemic.
This has led many to take matters into their own hands and get creative with the end-term celebrations.
Remember Your Prom?

Whether good or bad, prom is a once in a lifetime experience to celebrate the end of the high school chapter. And some meticulously plan it, down to every last detail.
The dress, hair, tux, matching ties, it's a magical experience. And it's the one thing every teen looks forward to.
However, This Year's Proms Have Taken a Different Turn
Schools across the country have canceled the eagerly-awaited proms. The timing of this pandemic lockdown has been downright heartbreaking.
But One Lucky Teen Has a Secret Admirer

A 7-year-old boy from Raleigh, North Carolina, is not old enough to attend high school. However, he has proven himself to be quite a prom king. He came to the rescue of his heartbroken babysitter.
For Over a Year, Rachel Has Been Looking After Curtis
17-year-old Rachel Chapman had been babysitting Curtis Rogers for almost a year before the coronavirus outbreak.

From picking up Curtis from school, helping him with his homework, and taking him to piano lessons, Rachel became a beloved part of the Rogers family.
Curtis' mom, Elissa Rogers, told the Good Morning America:
"She has become a part of our family. [Curtis] absolutely adores her."
"She's a just great person with a good heart, so it's been a blessing to have her helping us out with Curtis."
And since lockdown shuttered their schools, forcing kids into quarantine, Rachel and Curtis didn't see each other for two months.
When Rachel's Prom Got Canceled, the Little Boy Came to Her Rescue

Curtis heard about the cancellation of Rachel's prom.
And he insisted on throwing a socially-distanced "mini-prom" for his beloved nanny in their backyard.

Rachel told GMA:
"I was so surprised. I had no idea he was going to go all out. It was very thoughtful and sweet."

Speaking to WTVD, Curtis said:
"I planned it out because Rachel probably just wanted to see me a lot, and she also is one of the best people I've known."
"Rachel is one of our favorite people, and Rachel's like the best nanny ever."

Curtis Made a Toast, Followed by a Socially-Distanced Dance

What a heartwarming gesture!
