Having a healthy social circle is a very important part of life. They normally consist of people we are close to, like hanging out with, can relate to, like to meet up with more than others, and can talk to when we’re feeling low.
As good as it may seem to have the largest circle of people possible, not everyone deserves to be a part of yours.
Bad connections with people does no one any good. But some of us tend to hold on to them.
Whether it’s the fear of being alone, financial dependency, or the guilt factor making you hold on to them. You need to cut ties with them immediately.
Here are the six people to rid your self of to progress in life.
Those Who Take Advantage
These are the type of people who wait until just the right time to get what they want from you. They love when you are in a good mood because you can never say no. They usually get the title of taking a person’s kindness as a weakness. If someone is continuously taking from your fountain of generosity, it is time to turn off the faucet.
People who are judgmental
These people need to be exterminated immediately. They are overly critical, disrespectful, and find a way to justify what they say because of their own silly beliefs. They are right about everything. Their constant criticism can exhaust the hell out of anyone. This is definitely not someone you would want to share hopes and dreams with.
People who are always negative
Negative people cannot see the good in anything. They can be your co-workers, friends, or family members. They are those type of people who get tired of seeing you because you are always smiling. You can’t even say good morning to them without them asking what’s so good about it.
Being around a negative person is not good for your mental health and their behavior can be quite contagious. People’s BS can spread like the flu and that is one thing they have not created a vaccination for.
“Save your skin from the corrosive acids from the mouths of toxic people. Someone who just helped you speak evil about another person can later help another person speak evil about you.” -Israelmore Ayivor
Those who never take responsibility
These are the narcissistic types who never see any wrongdoing on their end. They justify their hurtful actions by calling it “keeping it real”. Don’t expect any remorse from them.
They are referred to as blamers because they are always pointing the finger and blaming someone else. They can be the cause of a car accident and say that you distracted them. If they burned breakfast, were late for work, got a speeding ticket, or stumped their toe, they will find a way to place the blame on you.
This disgruntled person holds grudges, can never celebrate the victories of others, and finds pleasure in other people’s failures. They spread gossip around faster than a virus. You would want to rid yourself of them quickly. There is no guarantee that you will not be next on their list.
Dishonest people recklessly believe that they don’t have to think about the consequences of their actions. They are also often seen as being holier than thou, the charmer, or never being wrong. Would you trust getting in the car if this type of person was driving?
An untrustworthy person might also have an obsession with competitiveness. No matter how good you are doing in life, they are never going to admire you. Instead, they will only mimic your personal traits.
Social circles are an important part of life. It is rare to find someone who can tackle life’s situations alone. But just because a person is in your circle, does not mean they deserve to remain in it.
