The original supermodel and one of the most recognizable faces in the world, Naomi Cambell, is a mom!

Naomi welcomed a baby girl this week, calling her "a beautiful little blessing."

Here is what motherhood means to Naomi, and though many are surprised, the supermodel gave us many hints over the years that she is ready to become a mother.

Naomi Talks About Kids In 2018

For Vogue Arabia, the supermodel stated, back in 2018:

"I'd love to have kids. I don't discount anything in life. I love kids and always will."

She added something many of us can relate to:

"When I'm around children, I become a child myself. That's the little girl I don't ever want to lose."

Previously, she told the Evening Standard that kids are in her cards, but she did not want to rush it. She added:

"I think about having children all the time. But now, with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want."

Talking to WSJ. magazine in 2019, Naomi said:

"I'll see what the universe brings me."

And finally, in 2021, the 50-year-old icon became a mom, and we are confident she will be an excellent mother.

Mom In Training

Not just years, but even decades before becoming a mom, Naomi had unusual training.

While working with young models, she became a mother figure to many. Some of the younger supermodels even dared to call Naomi "mama."

In 2020, during her chat with Vogue, the first black supermodel and muse of every important designer of our lifetime, explained she comes from several generations of strong women, and they made her who she is today.

She spoke about quarantine life in New York:

"A lot of the things Grandma taught me as a child came into play in lockdown."

Naomi also added that she knows how to cook, clean, stating:

"I was quite happy to be on my own."

"It's actually good to get to really know every nook and cranny of your home. I mean, I have to be really honest."

Naomi will never truly be on her on again, and she seems to be over the moon about it!

The supermodel shared a picture holding her baby's tiny feet, with the caption:

"A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother. So honored to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you, my angel."

She simply added:

"There is no greater love."

And the joyful grandma, Valerie, Naomi's super chic and gorgeous mom, also celebrated the moment on Instagram:

"Congratulations to my daughter Naomi on the birth of her daughter. I'm beyond thrilled as I've waited a long time to be a grandmother."

Marc Jacobs was among the first ones to congratulate one of his muses:

"Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around."

Gabriele Union wrote:

"CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you, mama!!!!"

Of course, fans went wild, so pretty soon, the page was filled with love.
