3 Reasons Why You Should Offer Tracked Shipping

3 reasons why you should offer tracked shipping

So here I'm gonna be writing about why I think it's a great idea to be offering speed pack USPS or just any kind of tracking service. Offering speed pack tracking will improve your customer's experience for sure, but why? Well, that's what I'm gonna let you in onto just below. Stay tuned.

Reason number 1 - Piece of mind

I chose this as the first point purely because it's the first that comes to mind. If you run an e-commerce store and want to get yourself out there, one of the big difficulties in gaining trust from your customer. There are many ways you can do this, like, for example - Having reviews posted on the website and having an active good quality social media account on both Instagram and Facebook.

But when the customer orders one of your products, for them, not knowing where it is can be kind of scary. Especially if there's a delay, if it's late they could think that they've been a victim of a scam. You want to avoid this at all costs, so giving them the option is always a great idea.

It's not a hard process for them. It won't take a super tech-savvy person to work out how to use the tracking. All they need to do is open up the website or app using the link that you provide them with, type in the speed pack tracking number, and off they go. They can now see exactly where their anticipated package is and where it was.

Reason number 2 - Reduce your losses

Keeping hold of your customers is always what businesses want. You know what's better than a brand new customer, A returning customer. Seeing that they enjoyed their previous experience can show you that you're doing something right, which feels great.

But how do you ensure that you have returning customers? You guessed it! Have tracking available! All jokes aside, you will be able to significantly limit your losses and explain why just below.

When you're not able to track the package, it can become lost or even stolen. Not a good situation right, you've lost a product, you've lost a sale and you've potentially lost a customer forever, depending on how they react. The first necessary thing to do is to give the money back immediately, but this can be avoided of course. But I'm not gonna say how, you already know, I've mentioned it plenty of times now.

Reason number 3 - Save time and labour expenses

With the tracking available, the customer will be much less likely to pick up the phone and call the company directly. And how is that? Well, all they need to do is open up their app and check on the location, simple as that. What's the result of this, kind of obvious for any business-minded individual. You spend less time talking to the customer, resulting in more time and fewer costs spent on people to do the talking for you.
