Mitchell Harrison (23) was a serial sex offender. He was in jail, serving four years for raping a 13-year-old girl. The prisoner was allegedly proud of his crimes, which only irritated other inmates.
Many sexual offenders try to hide the reason for being jailed, as other inmates do not like rapists, especially those who attack children.
Harrison was serving time in Frankland Prison, home of child killer Ian Huntley, whose throat was slit a year before.
According to other inmates, the 23-year-old bragged about the assaults, as this was the third time he was jailed for committing a sex-related crime. The bragging ended his life.
Two inmates at Frankland prison made weapons out of toothbrushes and razors. They came to Harisson's cell and, after an argument, slit opened his stomach. They pulled some of his internal organs onto the floor to ensure he was dead, disemboweling him.
The two men, aged 23 and 32, cleaned themselves up and went for breakfast. After, they turned themselves into officers for the crime, which had gone undetected until their confession.
Harrison was previously convicted of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old boy when he was 13, stalking and threatening to rape a classmate at 15, and luring and raping a 13-year-old girl twice. He stated he had committed more crimes.
Parr, 32, and Mann, 23, who killed the serial sex offender, targeted him because of his history of sexual abuse. The murder scene, according to the officials, was gruesome, even ritualistic.
As some said, that was a message to other prisoners, especially those charged with sex offenses.
