Rosario Dawson and Vanessa Hudgens revealed the nominees for the prestigious Screen Actors Guild Awards for 2021. Due to the pandemic, the event was held online, though we are still not quite sure whether there will be the red carpet for the 28th Annual SAG Awards, scheduled for February 27, 2022.
The SAG awards saw16 of the 20 Oscar nominees last year, making this ceremony a great insight into what to expect from the Academy Awards.
The SAG Awards gathered 2500 members merged between the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists unions. These members decide to nominees, while all 121,000 members of SAG-AFTRA are included in the process of determining the winners.
Numerous members are also on the Oscars jury, so it comes as no surprise that SAG is quite impressive when it comes to choosing Oscar-worthy material.

The 28th SAG Awards will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, February 27 at 5 p.m. PT from The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. Final voting will start on Wednesday, January 19. It closes at noon on February 25.
