Stop dyeing your hair! Embracing your natural grays locks is a new trend that'll make you look stunning and gorgeous.
My most fabulous hair model is my mom. Since she stopped dyeing her hair a couple of years ago, she looks more beautiful than ever.
I'm even jealous of the galore compliments she gets because of her perfect soft gray hair.
Just the fact that my mother is so confident with her gray hair made me decide I'll never dye mine.
These days, I can notice grays sneaking into my hair. But honestly, I love it. It's giving my hair a new dimension that wasn't there before.
The @grombre women group is in the lead in celebrating the beauty of gray hair. And the movement has been described as "a radical celebration of the natural phenomenon of gray hair."
Its Instagram account, @grombre features gorgeous women showing off their natural grays and telling their stories.
Check out some of our favorites.
One woman wrote:
"I feel more confident since I decided to let my grey shine."
"I dyed my hair a while ago and immediately regretted doing so; like I'd washed my identity away. While I'm still learning to deal with the new texture, I love seeing my tinsel tresses in the mirror!"
And I like it more when she describes her gray hair as "tinsel tresses!"
Another user wrote:
"Going gray has been a life changer for me."
"I have a completely different outlook on aging and life in general. The process definitely gave me willpower I didn't know I had. The journey is empowering! I love my hair! I love me!"
As empowered women, we need to embrace what we are!
Vickie shared her story:
"With my confidence and a head full of silver/gray hair I've begun to get more and more compliments as my hair color changed."
"Being myself, embracing my beautiful strands way before it became a thing has been and still is the best glamour decision I have ever made."
Greta, 23-years-old and gray, wrote that it wasn't easy for her to accept her natural grays at the age of thirteen.
"This is my hair! It was difficult to accept at 13, but at 23, I love it!"
One user, Jess, encouraging other women to stop dyeing their hair, said:
Stop buying into the lie that showing your age subtracts from your beauty…you are a stunning sex pot and each, and every grey adds to that!"
Proud of her gray hair looks, another woman wrote:
"Deciding to let my white hair grow in was a moment of acceptance of who I am. My hair color does not define my youth! I feel young, healthy, & beautiful."
"Having white natural hair is empowering!! Love not being controlled by societal standards of beauty but my own. I have never colored my hair…I love not being a slave to dyeing it. Not to mention, it is massively better for my natural curls."
