Dad bods are a total trend right now, and we're digging it!

If someone asked you who your favorite "Hot" male actor was, would you go straight for guys with chiseled pecs and abs like Jason Stratham and Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson, or are you like me, who likes to swoon over the guys who sport a cuddlier physique?

I'm talking about those male actors that are rocking the dad bod while also rocking our worlds. There is something about guys with a classic dad bod.

Here are my favorite choices for celebs rocking that bad bod. See if you agree with me. Many of these chubby male actors also made a mark in the film industry.

1. Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt wasn't always the tough and buff stuff he is in The Guardians of the Galaxy. Chris came onto our tv screens as the lovably unemployed squishy Andy Dwyer on Parks and Rec. Chris gained 30-40 pounds so he could Rock the dad bod that made us adore him and wish were sitting on that couch next to him!

Chris once said of his dad bod "Well, I remember in the first couple of seasons, just unintentionally, I had gotten a little fat, and I was watching the episodes, and I was like, 'Oh, God, Chris, you've really let yourself go,'" he said. "And then I was like, 'but this is some of the funniest stuff you've ever done.'"

Pratt had to drop 60lbs to go from Andy to Quill along with playing the dinosaur wrangler Owen in Jurassic Park. According to him, this was a nightmare, and keeping that shredded physique isn't easy. Lucky for us he let himself go back to his dad bod and we're loving it!

2. Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo captured our hearts when he played Arnie in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, then years later he made us swoon as Jack in Titanic. As the years passed and his acting resume grew, so did his body.

Now that's he's all grown up and rocking the dad bod, he looks better than ever. Leonardo pretty much leads the pack in the ruggedly huggable dad bod pack.

3. Paul Rudd

Paul's face looks the same as it did when he played Josh in the 1995 film Clueless. Before buffing up to play Marvel's Ant-Man, Paul was rocking the dad bod and made us swoon each time we saw him on-screen in romantic comedies.

When Paul was asked why he wanted to take on the role of Ant-Man he had this to say

"It was different than anything I'd done. I thought it would be an exciting adventure,"

Then he added "And I like the fact that when I was cast, people went, 'Huh?'"

4. Ben Affleck

When Ben was not busy getting ripped in the gym for his Batman roles he rocked that dad bod despite that back tattoo of his.

Ben has made our hearts race since he came on the big screen in 1992 playing Chesty Smith in School Ties alongside two other hotties we are going to talk about in this article, Brendan Fraser and Matt Damon.

5. Matt Damon

Besides being Ben's "Best Bro" for the past 40 years, Matt has also grown into his dad bod over the years and we are digging it! In most of his roles, he played the hunky guy with rock-hard abs.

For the film Stillwater, Matt played the role of a real-life father and he never looked better. Rowwwwwwr!

6. Brendan Fraser

Although Brendan disappeared from our screens for a long while, he started out with a completely ripped body in Encino Man in 1992. He continued to play roles where he was in fabulous shape. He made us swoon as Rick in The Mummy movie franchise.

Sadly, the stunts he performed in the cult classic Mummy films created injuries that needed surgery to fix. He disappeared from our screens but not our hearts.

The one-time heartthrob shocked us when we first saw him with all the changes his body went through. But he is now definitely rocking that dad bod and we are so glad he's back.

Brendan is set to come back to the big screen in a few projects, one playing a villain in DC's Batgirl. If we're lucky, the rumors of a new Mummy sequel starring Brendan are true!

7. Robert Downey Jr.

Lucky for us, Robert's Iron Man character does not require him to be all buff and chiseled, that is his suit's job. Robert's good looks and dad bod make him a top choice to drool over. Robert has charmed us since he played Ian in Weird Science and Less than Zero in the 80s.

Robert went through a very rough patch in the late 90s and early 2000s. Robert battled his addictions and won while winning his place back in our hearts as he continues to rock that dad bod.

Being a dad himself and having that dad bod makes him so relatable!

8. John Krasinski

Another one on the DILF list of dad bods is John who won hearts with his boyish good looks and one-of-a-kind facial expressions as Jim Halpert on The Office.

He then took on some roles which required him to work out and have a superhero body, which was nice to look at.

But let's be real. We like "real" on a guy and when he went back to rocking the dad bod for his role in A Quiet Place, we were thrilled to have that squishy hunk back.

We're not the only ones that love his dad bod. His wife, Emily Blunt, also prefers to have her "doughy" guy back.

9. Channing Tatum

Channing got us all hot and bothered with his Magic Mike abs and his stripper moves. Most of his roles required him to keep that six-pack and pumped-up pecs. He has stated in interviews that it's not easy nor is it healthy to maintain that shape.

Because of this, he almost passed on making Magic Mike 3. Channing took a break for a while and decided that just staying healthy and spending time with his children was the way to go and we agree. Channing's dad bod definitely suits him and we're here for it!

10. Matthew McConaughey

Matthew grooved onto our screens in 1993's Dazed and Confused as Wooderson. From then on, he made us swoon over him in many romantic comedies and some dramas.

He was always rocking a very well-toned beach body until he put on 40 pounds for his role in Gold. Matthew is known for going all-in for every role he plays and this time he went fully in for the dad bod look and rocked it.

11. Christian Bale

Speaking of actors that go all in for transformations, Christian has lost weight and gained weight for many different roles he has played throughout his career.

Who could forget the stunning weight loss of 120lbs for The Machinist and then packing on 100lbs for American Hustle.

For his role in Vice as Dick Cheney, Christian rocked a very worthy dad bod that had us go "utterly insane" for it.

12. Denzel Washington

Those eyes of his! His stare-down can get you all hot and bothered, and when you consider how well he rocks that dad bod of his... oof!!

Denzel has always engaged us with his incredible and powerfully engaging performances since he came on the scene in the early 80s. His physique in his younger days was always toned and muscular.

Denzel, who is now in his late 60s and rocking a dad bod has just recently been dubbed Sexiest Actor Alive by Glamour Magazine. I have to agree with them!

13. Jason Momoa

When Jason isn't playing Aquaman or his other roles that require his bulging biceps or powerful pecks, he likes to relax a bit and let his inner dad bod out.

A couple of years ago, Jason was actually body-shamed on social media for his dad bod if you can believe it. All I can say is that it must have been some jealous dudes who can't rock the dad bod themselves so they're a little bit salty.

I'll take Jason with his dad bod any day of the week and I am very sure I'm not the only one who feels this way!

14. Chris Hemsworth

I know you're surprised, huh. After all, Thor does not have a dad bod! When Chris is in between movie roles he does relax it a bit and lets his dad bod out and although it's not as dad bodish as with some of the guys in this article.

Honorable mention must go to him for his Fat Thor in Avengers: Endgame. Even though he wore a 60lb fat suit for the movie, Chris rocked that dad bod, and his humorous lines and actions just melted us.

15. Dax Shepard

With his quirky smile, tattooed body, and his genius comedy, Dax has endeared us with his hunky dad bod.

When you add the fact that he seems to be an awesome dad and loving husband, the dad body makes him sexier to us.

16. Jason Segel

The unlikely sex symbol has rocked the dad bod since day one in films and that is a major part of his charm.

He always portrays quirky yet loveable characters that are so endearing to us and just make you want to snuggle up with him.

Since How I Met Your Mother wrapped up, Jason has decided on trying more dramatic or romantic roles and he's rocking them despite his dad bod.

17. Josh Brolin

The son of the eternally sexy James Brolin, who rocks a dad bod himself, has always captivated us with his ruggedly handsome looks and his muscular and toned physique in many of his roles.

When Josh is between films though, he opts to rock his dad bod and let it all hang out. He's still just as swoon-worthy and pictures of him naked that he has posted on Instagram with the caption "At the end of the day, a life will [be] judged by how often you were naked. Nobody told [me] they meant metaphorically."

18. David Harbour

The Sheriff with the dad bod! David was quoted saying

"The fact that I got famous and became a sex symbol around my normal frumpy love-handled self is so gratifying"

His sexy dance moves and his adoption of Eleven made him so very hot in our eyes.

David got gruff and buff for his starring role in Hellboy but lucky for us he got his dad bod back for the 3rd season of Netflix's Stranger Things.

19. Matt LeBlanc

With his "How You Doin" and that grin of his Matt was ridiculously sexy when he appeared on friends as Joey Tribbiani. He was young and fit, adorable and funny. He was every girl's crush.

Fast forward to today, Matt is much older and still has that devilish grin but he now rocks that dad bod which makes him even sexier to us! I'd definitely join him in the fort and watch some TV!

20. Will Smith

As a result of the pandemic, Will developed his dad bod which he proudly showed off on social media and we loved him for it.

Since he arrived in a taxi on our screens in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will was always in fantastic shape and that never changed as he took on blockbuster movie roles after his show ended.

For his role in Ali, Will gained an extra 200lbs but it was all chiseled muscle. And yes, he looked yummy. But let's be real, he really rocked the dad bod look in 2021!

Dad Bods Are A Major Turn-On But We Don't Discount Other Types of Bods Either

Now, just because this article appreciates those mythical beings known as actors with dad bods, it doesn't mean we don't also appreciate male actors with other body types.

There's a lot to be said for those hunky men that perpetually stay in shape.

Now, if only mom bods could be a thing too, that'd be great as I like beer and pizza too!
