There are times when people can see their deaths coming, but through these eerie death photos, the world also got a chance to witness the moments that preceded these people's demise.

It is pretty unimaginable that some of these folks were clueless about their lives ending shortly afterward. Still, the world is more photographed today than it has ever been.

It is fair to expect that some of these eerie end-of-life moments would end up getting caught on camera, as these death photos prove.

1. Fiery Trap

In this photo from the Netherlands, taken in 2013, two men embrace each other before their deaths. The wind turbine caught fire, and there was little they could do about it.

One of them jumped nearly 200 feet to the ground, where he perished. The other tried to get down through the tube but got trapped in it and died. The two were 19 and 21, respectively.

2. An Unlikely Death Photo

This photo was taken using a mall surveillance camera in 1993. The little boy in the picture ended up dead at the hands of the 10-year-old holding his hand and another 10-year-old boy.

The killing was senseless and brutal and quite shocking to the public. The two killers were released after spending years in juvenile detention.

3. Terrified Victim

This is Regina Kay Walters, who was 15 when the photo was taken in 1990. Her killer, Robert Ben Rhoades, took it before he murdered her.

The serial killer would pick up hitchhikers in the early 90s before killing them. He was eventually caught and sentenced to multiple life sentences.

4. Death Behind Bars

This picture was taken moments before Carl Williams, an Australian drug lord, was attacked and killed.
During his time in prison, he had become an informant, and his associates turned on him and organized his death.

He was beaten using a tubular steel pipe torn from an exercise bike.

5. Pavil Kashin's Famous Death Photo

Parkour is as popular as it is dangerous, and this death photo proves just that. Here, the famous parkour legend was making the last jump of his life on top of a 16-story building.

Although he completed his stunt, he lost his balance after landing and plummeted several feet to his death. His friend took this death photo.

6. A Political Death Photo

This photo was taken by the victim, Reynaldo Dagsa, seconds before his killer fatally shot him. The killer can be seen pointing a gun at him as Reynaldo was photographing his family.

Reynaldo was a Filipino politician who had a reputation for provoking violent gangsters. He was shot dead on New Year's Day in 2011.

The shooter is Arnel Buenaflor, and along with two other accomplices, he was put under arrest days later.

7. Budd Dwyer's Last Act

R. Budd Dwyer was a politician who was convicted of various corruption-related crimes in 1986. He denied the charges against him in this press conference before pulling a gun from a brown bag.

He warned those nearby that the "thing could go off" before he put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger. This death photo captured that specific moment.

Dwyer was seen as calculating for killing himself before he was officially removed from office. He was about to be dismissed that afternoon, but his pension would still be given to his dependents because he technically died while still in office.

8. Rafting On The Niagara

This picture is from 1853, showing Joseph Avery on a log. He got onto the log after a boat he was using with his two partners capsized.

His two partners drowned, and although he managed to find safety on top of this log for 18 hours, he eventually lost his grip and died in the water.

There was no equipment to set up a proper rescue at the time.

9. Facing The Tiger

Maqsood was 20 when this death photo was taken, moments before the tiger mauled him to death. The man had crossed three barriers to get to the tiger in New Delhi Zoo's tiger exhibit.

It took hours before the tiger could be driven back so that the body could be recovered.

10. Notorious B.I.G. Enjoys His Last Night Out

This photo of Notorious B.I.G. and Sean Combs was taken just before the rapper was shot at a red light by someone in an Impala. The 24-year-old died in 1997.

11. Flying Without Wings

Unless a glider has two wings, it cannot stay airborne. In this death photo from 1943, this aircraft crashed and killed ten people.

The wing came off when a bolt that had not been fastened correctly came off, detaching the wing. The aircraft fell from a height of 2,000 feet.

Since this was a test flight, many important people, including the head of the company that built the plane, were onboard. They all perished.

12. John Lennon's Last Hours

John Lennon was signing an autograph for Mark David Chapman. Chapman shot him a few hours later when Lennon was getting back to his apartment.

13. Interrupted Vacation

Gary Slok posed for a selfie with his mom while heading on vacation. The photo was taken in Amsterdam in June 2014, just before liftoff.

The Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 plane was shot down over Ukraine, leaving no survivors.

14. Jadiel El Tsunami

Jadiel el Tsunami, born Ramon Gonzalez, was a reggaeton singer with a huge fan base in South America. He took this death photo in 2014, moments before he got into a deadly motorcycle accident with another vehicle.

Some suspect that the "selfie" might have had something to do with his death.

15. President John F. Kennedy

The 35th president of the United States died in November of 1963 while in Texas. He was shot in the throat, and just seconds before the fatal shooting, someone managed to capture this photo.

16. Anonymous 9/11 Jumper

No one will be able to forget 9/11. In this heartbreaking death photo, a man can be seen jumping from some of the highest floors in the building out of desperation.

Many others made a similar call, but this man was caught on camera jumping to his death.

17. Unidentified Nepali Man

This death photo from 2013 shows a Nepali man jumping to his death after a Fire and Rescue Department officer unsuccessfully tried to talk him out of jumping to his death.

The man had recently lost his job, and the photo was captured less than a second before his death. He died instantly after hitting the ground.

18. Officer Steven Green

In this photo, the officer can be seen looking at the man who will kill him moments later. The suspect stabbed the officer and got away, but he also died soon after in an "exchange of gunfire."

19. Jane Walker

Jane Wicker was a talented wing walker before she died in 2013. The plane crashed soon after this photo was taken, killing Walker and the pilot.

20. Challenger Crew Members

This photo shows the seven members of the Challenger crew as they were about to board the ill-fated spacecraft, which broke apart only 73 seconds after it took off, killing all seven crew members.

21. Keith Sapsford

Keith Sapsford, 14, escaped from school and hid in the wheel well of a Japan-bound flight. He fell when the plane was 200 feet from the ground and died.

The death photo was unwittingly captured by an amateur photographer while testing the camera's lens. Sapsford was mere seconds from his death when the photo was taken.

22. Paul Walker's Final Moments

This is the last photo of Paul Walker, moments before the Porsche, his friend Roger Rodas was driving crashed into a pole and burst into flames, killing them both.

Similarly, James Dean's photo was taken while he was at a gas station, getting into his Porche, and to his death.

23. Victor Barrio

The 29-year-old Victor Barrio was killed live on television after a bull gored him during a bullfight. This death photo was taken as he was getting stabbed by an angry animal.

23. Robert Overcracker

This death photo was taken on October 1, 1995. Robert was trying to raise awareness about the homeless by riding a jet ski close to the falls before activating a parachute so he could land safely in the river.

Unfortunately, the parachute did not deploy as expected, and he fell 187 feet to his death. His friend witnessed the tragedy.

24. Vacation Permanently Cut Short

Dave Hally took this photo. It shows his wife and 4-year-old daughter before they took off on the Malaysian flight that was shot down by Russian forces while flying over Ukraine. Everyone on the plane was killed.
