It was love at first sight when 19-year-old Audrey met the 42 years older Kevin at the dating app Badoo. Despite the age difference, they know from the beginning that they were soulmates.

However, Audrey's parents were not as enthusiastic when they heard the news, and upon meeting their daughter's new love, they decided to call the police.

The love story began in January 2020 when Audrey Cheyenne-Smiley Moon, who works as a military police officer, was found by Kevin on the dating app.

"I was actually looking around my area and ages 30 to 50. Her profile shouldn't have popped up. Something told me to look at it, and something told me to like it, so I did," Kevin explained.

Audrey found his bio interesting since it said he was a veteran who had worked for the military police just like her. The two started chatting and quickly bonded over their mutual interests.

After a few months, they were officially a couple and expressed their love for each other.

In July 2020 they met up in person and shared their first kiss. "We can both agree truly that it was love at first sight," Audrey said.

They initially kept the relationship a secret from Audrey's parents due to the big age gap, but since they wanted to spend their life together it was not a sustainable solution.

"I couldn't handle the stress of keeping it a secret from my family so we agreed that he would come down to meet them," Audrey explained.

"My family was extremely hostile about meeting him at first because we told them about us in a bad way. I texted them while I was away with him and we came back to my parents' house to my entire family and the cops waiting outside."

Luckily, Kevin was ready to stand for their relationship, and despite the scary first meeting, Audrey's parents came to grow comfortable with the situation. They even started to show support for the couple once they got to know Kevin.

It is the first time for both Kevin and Audrey to be in a relationship with a big age gap, but they seem to be handling the controversy exemplary. Kevin's two children from a previous marriage, aged 16 and 23, support their father's new relationship as they can see how happy the couple is.

The lovebirds took their relationship to the next level in August 2021 when they eloped and married in a small chapel in Nevada.

They could not live together immediately after the marriage since Audrey was working abroad, but they plan to start a family as soon as possible.

Kevin is looking forward to being a retired stay-at-home dad and spending more time on his woodworking hobby.

"I love how passionate and patient he is. He is also a very giving person and very kind. He has such a pure and loving soul," Audrey describes her husband.

She has also found advantages with his mature age.

"People my age are very inconsiderate and selfish. Kevin is the complete opposite. He is very understanding and only wants to do things for me," she explained.

"He is my soul mate, and that is something worth fighting for."

Kevin still talks about the day the two first met and shared their first kiss with passion, and the couple could not care less about other people's opinions.

Their love story is truly inspiring and shows that love can overcome obstacles.
