Alyssa, an 11-year-old girl from Florida, managed to escape her potential kidnapper due to her sharp mind and some skills she learned while watching her favorite TV show.

The quick thinker smeared some of the blue "slime" she was playing with on the man to make it easier for the police to track him.

The distressing video was captured by home surveillance, and it shows the girl struggling to get rid of the man in any way she could think of.

As she was making homemade slime, Alyssa noticed a white van approaching. She was mixing slime with blue paint while waiting for the bus near her Escambia County home.

Soon, the man was behind her, and it took Alyssa several seconds to realize what's happening. She saw that the man had a knife and knew she had to run.

"I knew that that might be better evidence if the cops do find him."

During the press conference, Sheriff Chip Simmons stated that:

"She fought, and she never gave up."

Alyssa was inspired by watching "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" with her mom and managed to escape a potentially deadly situation.

The suspect, Jared Paul Stanga, 30, is now in police custody.

As for Alyssa, she got praises from her TV inspiration. Mariska Hargitay, who has played Benson for over a decade, congratulated the girl on Instagram, saying:

"You are one BRAVE, Strong and Smart young woman. I think the SVU squad might have to add slime to their crimefighting gear! Take good care of yourself and each other. With all my love, your number one fan, Mariska."
