10-Year-Old Girl Raped And Impregnated By Stepfather, Thrown Baby Shower By Local Church

Local church throws a baby shower for a girl, 10, who was raped and impregnated by her stepdad.

Horacio Insaurralde raped his stepdaughter at his home in Monte Caseros, Argentina, after the girl and her mom moved in with him.

However, when the mom realized the relationship wasn't working, she eventually moved out with her daughter.

Two months later, the child's grandma noticed the little girl's belly was growing. She then told the mom about the child's growing belly.

Soon, the family confirmed their 10-year-old girl was pregnant. And the girl confessed that her stepdad had raped her.

It was clear the child the little girl was carrying was her stepdad's.

At first, the mother considered Legal Interruption of Pregnancy (ILE) to exempt her daughter from continuing with the pregnancy.

According to the mom, her girl was far too young, and secondly, she was pregnant due to 'rape.'

The mom then consulted a 'religious' doctor who 'thought it was riskier to stop the pregnancy than to continue it,' since she was 24 weeks into the pregnancy.

Hearing the doctor's advice and 'some other influences of voices,' the mom decided to have the 10-year-old, now 11, carry the child full term.

Members of the local church even threw a baby shower for the pregnant child.

Pictures from the event show the little girl, who should ideally be having toys of her own, posing next to a teddy bear.

The baby shower was an 'intimate' occasion where people even followed the rules for social distancing.

Pastor Mari of the Ministerial Apostolic and Prophetic Church of Monte Caseros spoke about the little girl's situation.

Mari said that despite being 'in favor of life,' they firmly believe that 'the person that did it has to pay the consequences.'

And when asked if she supports the decision to carry the baby full term, the pastor said:

I am neutral. That is a family decision.

We have not given any advice to the family. I accept that it is a mother and a very young girl.

However, the baby that is coming is a life, and the young girl has to be attended to psychologically.

The pastor also said that keeping the family's decision without any influence is important, citing the impact on the young girl's mind and the kind of life she will have.

Other church officials also said they were throwing the baby shower 'to support the young mother and her family.'

Two days later, after the baby shower, the girl gave birth through C-section.

Meanwhile, the stepdad is behind bars facing rape and child molesting charges.
