Emily Ratajkowski, 30, revealed she got 18k British pounds or 25k dollars to attend the Super Bowl with disgraced Malaysian financier Low Taek Jho aka Jho Low.
While promoting her biography, My Body, Emily talked to The Sunday Times Magazine, and to say that her story is juicy is an understatement.
Emily And Jho Low
Low, 40, faces eight money laundering charges, as he is allegedly involved in the 1MDB scandal (1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal). The BBC called it a "global web of fraud and corruption" that saw "billions of dollars ostensibly raised for public development projects in Malaysia instead landed in private pockets."
Ratajkowski did not disclose when she went out with the disgraced businessman, but she said she had to check whether she could leave with her agent.
"I was on the clock."
While she did not reveal much, it was shocking, but Ratajkowski did not leave it at that. She continued talking about Coachella parties and Jeffrey Epstein.
Rich Men And Extravagant Parties
Speaking about the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, Emily said she was not "shocked at all."
She elaborated by explaining what was happening at Coachella parties. Emily said:
"A lot of my experiences with Coachella, or whatever, the transaction wasn't defined. The terms of the agreement weren't named. I found out later that they invited girls who couldn't afford food or a nice meal out to these fancy dinners in LA. That was a motivator for them to come. And that's manipulation."
Model and mom of one continued:
"I witnessed so much of that in different forms. Right before Covid, I went to some new nightclub and it was really empty. All of a sudden 10 - I would guess if they weren't underage then barely of age - models arrive with one guy. I was, like, 'Oh right, the same thing is still happening. Beautiful girls being out at a club and rich men paying indirectly to have them there.'"
Emily did not give out names, but this is enough for many not to want to be part of the glitz and glam.
In her new book, Emily described what allegedly happened during the shooting of the shocking video for the song Blurred Lines:
"Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the coolness and foreignness of a stranger's hands cupping my bare breasts from behind. I instinctively moved away, looking back at Robin Thicke."
Ratajkowski says the filming was good until Thicke allegedly got drunk and started acting rude.
"He smiled a goofy grin and stumbled backward, his eyes concealed behind his sunglasses. My head turned to the darkness beyond the set."
It further says that the video director Diane Martel pretty much saved Emily by shouting, "Are you okay?"
"I pushed my chin forward and shrugged, avoiding eye contact, feeling the heat of humiliation pump through my body. I didn't react - not really, not like I should have."
The filming was in 2013 when Thicke was a happily married man.
